What exactly does that mean you say? To put is simply. The internet is full of information for people in the field of herpetology and it also lacks information that we would like to know for either business or personal use. This information can be hard to locate and we don't all have hours a day to spend browsing and searching. Our efforts with this site is to tie it all together so that reptile and amphibian enthusiasts will have a place to got to find what they are looking for without picking apart the web find it. We also aim to bring everyone together as one big community so that we can all work together as a full functioning network of resources. As we have noted time and time again on this site if we don't have what you are looking for then let us know! Thanks you.
Our history
The Herp Helpdesk was born one evening as we were sipping down our Vitamin Waters. We came up with this ideal because we have spent countless hours peeling through layers of internet web pages to find what we are looking for and we just thought that this would make it easier for everyone. We also realized the lack of information on the net concerning the market value for what we do. What information is out there comes from the pet store industry which has jacked up prices on just about everything they sell. We want to do this for the betterment of our community.
We have also noticed that during the winter months it is hard to buy herps because of the shipping and the cold weather but here herp sellers can advertise themselves by state. Local pick ups can be arranged and save us on shipping costs. Plus we can guarantee our own live arrivals. It would give us a chance to watch the grid map of our community expand. We implore those of you reading this to seriously think about the implications of the content on this site. We can bring resources our together for the betterment of us as businesses and the betterment of us as consumers. Please feel free to contact us with any info that you can share with us to help our community grow. Remember that we are all in this together! Thank you.
